Vendor System Interfaces
Find your library system listed below and get details about ILS interfaces that Blackwell offers.
Below we have described the EDI (Edifact, ANSII X12, and Tradacoms) interfaces supported by Blackwell. If you have questions you would like to ask us about Blackwell EDI services or about exporting brief MaRC records from Collection Manager to support your selecting/ordering workflow, please contact our expert, Ms. Irene Jones. We just need to know your name, your institution, and the name of your ILS software product to answer you
effectively.
To help you streamline your selecting and ordering workflows we offer Collection Manager (CM) export records. These are brief US MaRC format records containing the essential bibliographic data elements (author, title, imprint, ISBN, LCCN, estimated price, as well as optional library specific acquisition data) needed to create orders on your local system. We’ve worked with many ILS vendors to ensure successful use of these records in local library systems. The list below indicates which vendor products work well with Blackwell Collection Manager Export records.
To begin exporting records from Collection Manager, please submit the online Collection Manager export profile form.

- CM Export: DRA Classic libraries can load a file of CM Export records to create a selection list and corresponding bib records. Order data entered into CM Export records by library staff (i.e. fund, quantity, selector name, etc.) will not populate selection list records. However, order data remains available to library staff in the bibliographic records. After selection list records are manually updated with quantity, fund and vendor ID, orders are created (“create PO” function). EDI orders are transmitted to Blackwell via the Internet FTP.
