Blackwell Celebrates Peter May—50 Years with Blackwell

After 50 years with Blackwell, Peter May is saying farewell. He will be missed by all. Although knowing Peter, he will always be in touch with his Blackwell family.

Peter is a true Oxonion which means that he was born, educated, and now lives in Oxford, England. He joined Blackwell in 1958 having attended Southfield Grammar School, Oxford. He started work at Blackwell’s flagship shop in Broad Street before being transferred to the Export Department 3 years later. Since then, Peter has walked into libraries in 68 countries of the world. He completed 50 years service for Blackwell on 10th August 2007. He has seen the company grow during his long career and has managed major territories such as the Middle East and Africa. Most recently he was Blackwell’s Senior Director of Library Services for the Far East and Asia.

Take a moment to review the below video clip where Peter explains how one of his mischevious pranks lands him in the career of a lifetime.
