Blackwell Research Promise Award

Since 1987, Blackwell has been supporting the Alabama Library Association (ALLA) by honoring recipients of the CUS Research Forum with the Blackwell Research Promise Award of $200.00.

Blackwell is proud to support an award helps to generate quality research within the library community.

This years award winners are Ms. Jessica Platt and Mr. Pete Benson. They both conducted an excellent study and wrote a very scholarly paper titled "Improving the Virtual Reference Library Experience: How Closely do Academic Libraries Adhere to RUSA Guidelines." This year’s recipients are students at the University of Alabama’s School for Library and Information Science.

The two recipients will be presenting their paper and receiving the award at the 2009 Alabama Library Association Annual Conference at Auburn University on April 9, 2009.
